The 25th ranked Wallace State Lady Lions won their first four matches of the 2009 season. Tom Drake Coliseum hosted the 2009 Wallace State Tournament. The Lady Lions defeated Gadsden State 25-18 and 25-17, then defeated Faulkner State 25-18 and 25-18. Randy Daniel's team then defeated Southern Union 25-13 and 25-14, then defeated Lawson State 25-7 and 25-6. For more info on the tournament:
