UAB KNOCKS OFF IN-STATE RIVAL JACKSONVILLE STATE

UAB beat in-state rival Jacksonville State last night inside of Bartow Arena. The Lady Blazers won the first two sets 25-21 before dropping the third set, 21-25. The fourth and final set went to UAB and gave them the game winning it 25-22. Alison Woods led UAB with 37 assists and recorded 14 digs giving the freshman a double-double. The Lady Blazers are now 2-1 on the young season and will now begin focusing on this weekends magnolia Invitational (hosted by Ole Miss.) UAB will play Alcorn State, Akron, Milwaukee, and Ole Miss in the Invitational. The National Women's Times will have all coverage from the tournament.
